Preliminary document — Riffable is in alpha and these terms evolve with the product. In case of conflict, the Portuguese version prevails.
Riffable is a platform for collaborative storytelling. Users write passages (“riffs”), continue each other's works, propose alternate versions and vote for the best ones. An AI assists the writing at the author's request.
Access is via social login. You are responsible for your account's activity and for keeping your credentials safe. You must meet the minimum age required by your local law to use the service.
You keep the authorship and the rights to the passages (“riffs”) you write. Nothing here transfers ownership of your creation.
Because Riffable is a collaborative platform, by contributing a passage to a story you grant — on a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and perpetual basis — the following license to use your contribution:
In any publication you are always credited as a contributor. You represent that your contribution is original (or that you hold the necessary rights) and that it does not infringe third-party rights or the platform guidelines.
When a book is published, it is an immutable snapshot of the selected path. The organizing author is responsible for the publication and for any distribution through external stores (for example, Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play), as well as for any royalties earned there — Riffable does not intermediate that payment. The license in section 3 allows your contribution to be part of those books, with credit.
You may request the removal of your contribution from future publications; books and snapshots already published remain as they are, since they are immutable.
AI suggestions are supporting tools; the final text is always chosen and saved by you, and you are the author responsible for what you publish. Passages generated solely by AI, without human curation, may not be protected by copyright. AI usage may be subject to quota limits depending on your plan.
Do not publish content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or is prohibited by the guidelines. If you come across such content, use the Report button (in the options menu). We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
The Pro plan is a paid monthly subscription, renewed automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller (merchant of record). You can cancel anytime through subscription management; cancellations and refunds follow our Refund Policy, available at getriffable.com/reembolso.
As we are under active development, features and these terms may change. Relevant changes will be announced on the platform.
