Privacy Policy
Preliminary document — Riffable is in alpha and this policy evolves with the product. We aim for alignment with the LGPD (the Brazilian data protection law). In case of conflict, the Portuguese version prevails.

1. Data we collect
On social login, we receive your name, email and picture from the provider. We also store what you create on the platform (stories, riffs, votes, saved items, profile) and your preferences (theme, notifications).
2. How we use it
To run the service: authenticate you, display your public profile (name, @handle and bio), attribute the authorship of passages, send the notifications you turn on (in-app, push and email) and improve the product.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use providers to run the service (hosting, database, AI, email delivery, product analytics and ad measurement — see section 5), and they process the data only for those purposes. Content you publish in stories is, by nature, visible to other users.
4. Notifications
Summary emails and browser notifications are optional and can be turned on or off at any time in Edit profile → Notifications.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use cookies and local storage to run the service: keeping your session, remembering theme, language and reading preferences.
Product analytics: we use PostHog to understand how the product is used (pages visited and in-app actions, associated with your account when you are signed in). This data is used only to improve Riffable.
Ad measurement: when we run campaigns, we use the Reddit Pixel (Reddit, Inc.) to measure whether an ad led to a visit, an account creation or a subscription. We do not send Reddit your email, name or content — only navigation events and an internal conversion identifier. The pixel uses Reddit's own cookies/identifiers, processed under Reddit's privacy policy; you can adjust ad personalization in your Reddit account settings.
You can block third-party cookies in your browser — the service keeps working normally.
6. Your rights
You can access and correct your profile data in the app, and request the deletion of your account and associated data through the contact below.
